Signed Fighters & Merchandise:
The year of 2009 is going to be a giant leap forward for the MMA Big Show who has now begun signing many of it's top fighters to exclusive contracts. Of the signed fighters include:
Roger Bowling, currently the 170lb Champion and boasts a 4-0 professional record with only one loss early in his amateur career. An Amelia, OH native, "Relentless" as he has been called is known for finishing event top ranked fighters in under 40 seconds such as 8-0 Shamar Bailey who Roger pummeled with strikes ending the fight in 36 seconds of the first round.
Billy "Mojo" Horne, Cincinnati, OH native and the current 185lb Champion also with a 4-0 Professional record and a 17-1 Amateur Record. Mojo is devastating on his feet or the ground which was demonstrated during his 3rd round unanimous decision win over UFC Veteran Josh "Bring The Pain" Haynes where Mojo knocked Haynes out on his feet twice during the fight and dominated him on the ground for a victory.
Joe "The Hammer" Ammerman, Amelia, OH native and former MMA Big Show 155lb Champion, Ammerman holds a 3-2 Professional record and is truly an exciting fighter to watch. Fast, furious and aggressive Ammerman is a tornado in the cage who always draws a huge crowd.
Dave "Big Country" Hess, a native of Milan, IN, Hess boasts a 17-2 Amateur Record record with his only losses to opponents with 50 to 100lbs on him and far out of his weight class. Dave is a ground and pound bull of power and strength not easily overcome by any heavyweight and will be making his Pro debut on March 7th.
The MMA Big Show has several other signings in the works and is always scouting for up and coming talent which will be featured regularly on billboards and television throughout the year.
Prior to the March 7th show, we will be launching a series of merchandise including fight shorts, hats, shirts, hoodies and authentic jerseys all customized after the fighters they are for. All of our exclusively signed fighters will get their own merchandise lines of which they will make a percentage of each item sold.
The MMA Big Show was founded by Jason Appleton September of 2006 where it's first event MMA Big Show: RESPECT nearly sold out the NKY Convention Center. Since then, the promotion has held events in venues ranging from 500 seats to 11,000 seats and has built a reputation for pitting local champions against UFC veterans, a model which is now being copied by other smaller promotions in the Tri-State.
The MMA Big Show is known nationally and is the largest MMA promotion in the Tri-State, some say the region. Fighters from as far as California to Canada travel to compete in MMA Big Show events due to it's reputation in the industry for promoting exciting and professional shows.
Special Guests and or Fighters of past events include Andre Arlovski, Matt Hamell, Kendall Grove, Ed Hurman, Dan Severn, Solomon Hutcherson and others.
One thing is certain; the MMA Big Show has the best fighters and the best fans, the biggest production and the best name in Pro/Am MMA. We aren't "Intimidated" by copy cat promoters trying to be us.
